Dublin Borough Council awards contracts for safety equipment study, sewer rehabilitation project

It was business as usual at the Aug. 11 Dublin Borough Council meeting. Council members unanimously awarded several contracts to contractors at the Monday night meeting.
As part of OSHA’s requirements, contractors working with the electrical equipment in the water and sewer facilities in the borough need to make sure their safety equipment is adequate. According to borough Engineer Thomas Zarko, the study will look at what type of protective clothing the contractors will need, which could include certain gloves, safety goggles or jackets. The study will be conducted to look at potential hazards in the facilities. The contract was awarded to Premium Power Services, of Kennett Square, for $14,950.
Council members awarded Tri-State Grouting, of Newark, Del., a $32,746 contract to complete the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project. According to Zarko, repairs will take place throughout all areas of the borough and are expected to be completed by November… Full Article (PDF)
